Getting To and Around Block Island
BY FERRY - Ferry boats sail from Point Judith, RI to Block Island year round. The trip takes about one hour. During the season, there is a high speed ferry from Point Judith that takes approx. 40 minutes. There are also ferries from New London, CT, Newport, RI and Montauk, Long Island that take about 1 1/2 hours.
BY AIR - New England Airlines, our primary scheduled air carrier, leaves the state airport in Westerly, RI hourly. The flight takes about 15 minutes. There are chartered flights available from other airports. In case of inclement weather, planes may not fly. It is wise to allow time to reach the ferry if necessary.
